2011 Toyota Camry is a mid-size sedan with four doors and a front wheel drive. 2011 Camry is available in four variants: Base model, Sporty, LE, XLE and SE. Features like complete stability controls, complete power accessories, air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth, satellite radio, 6 speaker CD-audio system and steering wheel with tilt and telescoping are prevalent even in the base model. The base engine has a 169 horsepower with 2.5-litre inline. In the SE version the same engine is upgraded to a 179-horsepower.
All the other trims except the base model also have a 3.5 liter V6 with 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet torque. In each of the models the buyer can choose the transmission from a 6-speed automatic one to a 6-speed manual one while the XLE has a standard transmission. The V6 transmits the power via a standard 6-speed automatic. 2011 Camry is also available with a 192 horsepower hybrid version. Its EPA is 33 mpg in city conditions and 34 in highway conditions. Every model except SE has projector-beam headlamps with automatic switch off and switch on and DRL that has a manual switch off and switch on.
In SE the projector-beam headlamps have a smoked auto-trim with automatic switching on/off and DRL have manual switching on/off. Integrated front fog lamps are available only in SE and XLE 2011 Camry. LED for stop, tail and side marker lamps are available in all the models. SE has 17 inches, 5-spoke mechanized alloy wheels whereas the XLE has 16 inches, 10-spoke mechanized alloy wheels. Each model also has color-keyed power outside mirrors whereas XLE has heated outside mirrors as well. The glass used in every model of Camry is a HSEA glass that is high solar energy absorbing glass.
The wipers in the 2011 Camry are linked to the washer and are variable intermittent windshield wipers. The Power tilt/slide moonroof is available as an optional part in SE and LE but is a part of XLE model. All the rear windows have a defogger along with a handy timer. Baring the base model all the models have dual rear exhaust outlets and a chrome-tipped exhaust too.
The interiors of 2011 Camry are luxurious and grand. All models except XLE have fabric seats and door trims along with armrests. In SE the customer may avail a leather trimmed seats and door trims too as a part of the optional package that otherwise has sport-trimmed seats and door trims. In case of XLE the leather trimmed seats and door trims are a part of the car. In SE and XLE you may choose to have the optional heated front seats. SE has aluminum sport pedals and doorsills and a metallic styled interior trim with chrome-door handles. XLE has elegant wooden-grain styled interior trims and chrome accents on the door handles.

According to the test results of IIHS the Camry tested “good” on all the tested parameters. After being redesigned in 2007, the models from 2007-2001 show “good” in the “frontal offset test and side impact test with side airbags” with the dummy’s head coming nowhere close to any of the stiff structures that could cause hurt and injury. Thus for safety point of view too Camry is the car to choose.
