Opel automaker manufacture has starting new details and images the next-generation 2012 Opel Zafira Redesigned. According to AutoBild, the MPV will grow in size to measure 4690mm long, 1820mm wide, and 1690mm tall. This will result in a more spacious cabin, which particular attention paid to the second and third rows. Speaking of the latter, the Zafira will adopt a Flex-7 seating system that allows the rear seats to be folded individually in a single motion.
This next Opel Zafira iteration prototype is still heavily camouflaged but the general design seems very consistent with this category of vehicle – stretched at the corners for maximum cabin space but still with an aerodynamic front end (likely with a very Astra/Insignia-like front face) and streamlined shoulder and roof lines to have the looks to compete against the likes of the Ford Grand C-Max in the 7-seat compact MPV segment.
Powered of Opel Zahira is a variety of engines will be offered. The petrol’s are expected to have output ranging from 120 hp (89 kW / 122 PS) to 180 hp (134 kW / 183 PS), while the diesels will produce 110 hp (82 kW / 112 PS) to 160 hp (119 kW / 162 PS). They will be mated to the usual transmission choices, but in the future, a dual-clutch gearbox will be offered.
2012 Opel Zafira a very tough minivan market in Europe right now with lots of great vehicles competing to strike consumers’ tastes. So we can expect the Zafira to come with an upgrade of cabin technology and a large range of engine offerings borrowed from its Astra sibling’s power plant lineup
